Elder Lester Scott
Previously, he served as an Elder as well as the First Elder at the Montclair SDA Church, Montclair, New Jersey for six years under the leadership of Pastor Mark McCleary. Elder Scott’s life is a journey that only highlights God’s goodness, patience, unfathomable love and His amazing grace toward Elder Scott. Lester Scott is a close friend of God who has been ordained by Him to be a servant leader. This became evident from the age of 14 years old when he led his parents and siblings to the Advent truth.
While Elder Scott’s tenure at the University of the West Indies where he worked for 16 years before migrating to the United States, was satisfying, his most gratifying experience there was when he was selected to be the Chair of the Religious and Outreach Committee where he was responsible for all religious activities.
His love for God and service to God’s people over these years far exceeds any of his professional achievements. His favorite song is “What a friend we have in Jesus”. He looks forward to the day when Jesus returns and the sweetest words that he wants to hear is “Welcome Lester Scott, my good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of thy Lord.” He is the beloved husband of Lee Scott for 37 years. He is a doting father, a grandfather as well as a great-grandfather.
